LADIES OF THE NFL SOCIAL - JACKSONVILLE, FL

Breast Cancer Awareness Events

Special thanks to the ladies who participated in our Breast Cancer Awareness events! We truly did it for the cause:

Jacksonville (RECAP): PFWA Jacksonville members Kate Mitchell, Rayan Marks, Shevelle Hayes, and Annie Tinker attended "Tacos for Tatas" on October 5th in downtown Jacksonville in support of breast cancer awareness. All proceeds from tickets sales went to the Donna Foundation, whose mission is to produce world class events to raise funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research and women living with breast cancer. Way to go Jacksonville ladies! We love the photo booth!

Charlotte (RECAP): On October 17th, PFWA Executive Director, Tenisha Patterson Brown, and a group of ladies walked in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. All proceeds from the 5k were donated to breast cancer research.

Atlanta (RECAP): On October 24th, PFWA Deputy Director, LeShonda Martin, PFWA Director of Community Relations Martavia Wynn, and the Atlanta ladies walked at Centennial Olympic Park for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk. The PFWA Atlanta team has raised $250 toward their goal of $1000 in two weeks!

Chicago (RECAP): On October 24th, PFWA Chief Financial Officer, Martrice Caldwell, walked at Soldier Field for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk.

LADIES OF THE NFL SOCIAL - CHARLOTTE, NC

Professional Football Wives Association

The ladies of the NFL past and present gathered for a social on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL.

During the holiday season PFWA shared hope with a family of five (5) in Jacksonville, FL. Participating families may have experienced any of the following crises during the past few months: death or illness, fire, long-term incarceration of parents, women leaving abusive situations, etc. Individuals, families and businesses "adopt" a family for Christmas, and based on the profile, which includes gift ideas and background on the family's situation, fulfill the wish-lists of all the family members. We adopted one family this year with the hope of increasing the number as we grow. We reached our goal of purchasing all of the items on the family's list.

Special thanks to everyone who participated. Because of your generosity PFWA was able to be a blessing to a family in need!

The ladies of PFWA had an amazing day of service at the Chicago Dream Center for homeless women and children! The ladies were forever grateful and thanks Author Kourtni Mason for donating books that were used  and will be used in all future projects for young girls with dreams, goals and aspirations of dance - Little Miss Dancey Pants. Woodland Dental Gallery of Chicago, IL thank you so much for your contributions! We were able to provide 48 tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes to women and children in dire need of these small blessings. We salute you for saying yes and allowing our outreach and purpose to come to life.
